If your property is a residential complex, each owner has the right to transfer or provide telecommunications services through community property. You agree to notify the owner and organization (if any) of the installation, location and connection paths of our network and, if requested by Chorus, to assist in accessing community property in order to install our network. You are liable to us for any damage we suffer if you do not ensure that the owner has given their consent. You agree to submit this authorization in writing upon request. The fiber is built by a local fiber company. These companies are Chorus, Ultra Fast Fibre, Enable, Unison and Northpower. Spark will contact you during installation. You`ll also hear about your local fiber business. The local fiber optic company cannot start the installation until it has received permission from your landlord. If the installation is more complex than expected, the technician may need to meet with you a second time at home.
Spark will send you the modem before the installation date. Your local fiber optic company provides other equipment. Please note that the fiber optic installation process may take a few weeks or more. For the sake of clarity, none of the rights and benefits granted to us under these Terms will be terminated or modified if your contract is with a telephone and broadband service provider. Some homes are able to get a span and installation in a single appointment. If this is the case, you will be notified. This means you only need to stay home once to establish a connection. Chorus will install the fiber and will have to come and visit you before starting the work to help you work inside and outside your property. There will be a Chorus UFB installation agreement that will need to be signed once you and the technician have agreed on the best way to get the best connection with the least inconvenience.
