Engine Pinning

Back to Service and Support

No doubt about it, fuel combustion engines will wear down over their lifespan. In addition, not properly winterizing your boat can cause cracks that will render even the best engines useless.

The revolutionary pinning method is a permanent fix for engine block cracks due to freeze damage. This method provides a significant cost savings over having to replace the engine block. See the pictures below for more information on how engine pinning can be a great solution rather than replacing your entire motor.

Engine Pinning Example 1

This engine had 34 inches of block crackage due to freeze damage. The initial holes to hold the pins have been drilled out.

Pins are being threaded into the holes.

Once the pins have been torqued, the heads are broken off to start the next series of pins.

The engine block has been completely pinned and needle scathed and is ready for paint!
